From tragedy to healing: reflections on the Sutherland Springs church shooting one year later

On November 5th, 2017 a gunman opened fire on the members of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. He killed 26 and wounded 20.

Pastor Frank Pomeroy and wife, Sherri, were traveling away from church that weekend. Unfortunately their 14-year-old daughter, Annabelle, was not. She died in the shooting.

Here’s what the Pomeroys have to share one year later. Their message will inspire church leaders about the resilience of faith during tragedy, and remind all of us about the value of church security during these times.
